Dr. Shirley Sims Emerging Leader Scholarship
The Dr. Shirley Sims Emerging Leader Scholarship was established through a partnership at the University of South Florida’s Black Leadership Network (BLN) to support students who demonstrate leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to personal growth.

As a proud USF alumna, Dr. Sims created this scholarship to invest in emerging leaders who embody resilience, purpose, and service—qualities that drive success beyond the classroom. The award helps provide access to educational and professional development opportunities for underrepresented students pursuing their dreams and making a lasting impact in their communities.
College and Career Pathways Deerfield Beach High School
The College & Career Pathways Scholarship is a $1,000 award presented to a Deerfield Beach High School student who has successfully completed the College & Career Pathways Club, powered by iTrainNow, Inc.

Founded in 2025 by Nicole Scott, iTrainNow’s Director of Programs and a proud Deerfield Beach High School alumna and educator, the club prepares students for the next step in their academic and career journeys through mentorship, skill-building, and leadership development. This scholarship honors a participant who exemplifies dedication, growth, and a passion for lifelong learning.
